The UN Women Australia International Women’s Day theme for 2026 is “BALANCE THE SCALES”.
Balance the scales is a promise that every woman and girl – regardless of background or identity – should be safe, heard, and free to shape their own lives. Yet in 2026, too many across Australia and the world are still denied that fair go. Discriminatory laws, policies, and practices persist. Gender-based violence remains widespread, and structural barriers block too many from seeking or receiving justice.
These barriers are not inevitable. They are built – and they can be dismantled.
Equality is not about advantage for some; it’s about dignity, safety, and fairness for all.
When women and girls stand equal, families are stronger, workplaces are fairer, communities thrive, and society becomes safer for everyone.
This International Women’s Day let’s Balance the Scales together.

This year, we will be donating $0.20 cents from every cupcake ordered to The Perth Foundation for Women. They are dedicated to uplifting disadvantaged women and girls across Australia by providing essential support, services, and resources, creating a more equitable and empowering future for all. - Cupcakes will be decorated with a mix of white and purple icing, matching sprinkles and a mix of various cupcake toppers. This may include the IWD logo and stamped fondant phrases fitted to this year’s theme/s for International Women’s Day (UN Women Australia theme – Balance the Scales).

- Colours can differ slightly, as all icing colours are mixed by hand. We will always do our best to match as closely as possible.
- Choose from a gift pack of 6 or 12 cupcakes, or larger boxes of 24, 48, or 96 mini or standard cupcakes for your workplace or group.
- Mini cupcakes are approx 5cm across in diameter. Standard cupcakes are approx 7cm across in diameter.
- When choosing a gift pack, be sure to write a note for the recipient in the order notes section so they know who it’s from.
